We are a movement of politicians who believe that everyone has the right and responsibility to contribute to the decisions that shape our lives.
Together with our communities we are building a new kind of politics.
A politics that unites rather than divides, that respects and values all, and that supports every one of us to live better, fairer, and more dignified lives.
For too long our politics has been dominated by division; politicians and people, left and right, a powerful few and a powerless many.
It’s time to come back together.
What makes a People Powered Politician?
We are from all parties and none at all, but are united in our commitment to:
Putting people before party.
Building solidarity, not contributing to further division.
Supporting communities to take action themselves.
Fundamentally changing our political system to shift more power to people and communities.
It won’t be easy, but together we can create the politics we deserve, and in doing so restore our hope, agency, and trust in each other.
Why do we need People Powered Politicians?
We have outgrown our current political systems. They were built in a time very different to now, and to tackle problems far simpler and easier.
Our political systems separate politicians from people, and power from communities - yet it is only by working together that we will be able to deal with the onslaught of crises we are facing .
We need to upgrade our systems to be fit for the 21st century. And to do this we need politicians who are committed to exploring new and better ways of working, and creating this change.
